This guide (see PDF attachment) resolves most of the issues involving scanning to Sharpdesk (CE-02, Selected Servers not found). This guide is broken down into 4 small sections. Section 1 generally solves about 90% of the cases. If it doesn't solve the problem, follow the instructions in section 2 and so on until all 4 sections have been completed if necessary.
Note: If you are not receiving the scanned image into Sharpdesk and an error message did not pop up on the Sharp scanner do the following:
At the Sharp (most models), touch the Job Status (physical button) > Scan To or Scan To or Email/FTP (touch-screen button) > Completed (touch-screen button). This will display either "Send Ok" or "NG8000". NG means "No Good" and the Sharpdesk Troubleshooting Guide (see PDF attachment) should solve the problem. If the status is "Send OK", the image was sent. If it did not arrive inside of Sharpdesk do the following:
At the PC, browse to the following path:
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sharp\ftproot
Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\Sharp\ftproot
If you cannot see the folders you must select "Show hidden files and folders". You can do this by using Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View. You can either navigate to the same path in Sharpdesk and view the files or uninstall/reinstall Sharpdesk. The most common reason why the scanned images end up there is because of script blocking by antivirus/firewall programs like Norton, McAfee, TrendMicro, AVG, etc.
Note: If you share an Internet connection on your Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, or enable the Internet Connection Firewall on Windows XP, the "Auto Detect" feature in Network Scanner Tool may fail to discover any scanners and scanning from copiers may not work. To check if those features are enabled, e.g. in Windows XP, go to "Network Connections", right-click on a connection and select "Properties", click the "Advanced" tab, and make sure that the checkboxes under "Internet Connection Firewall" and "Internet Connection Sharing" are not checked. In Windows Vista or Windows 7, also go to "Network Connections", right-click on a connection and select "Properties", click the "Sharing" tab, and make sure that the checkboxes under "Internet Connection Sharing" are not checked. Note that Network Scanner Tool uses only one connection, if multiple connections are present.
